    Rapid, Scalable Data Restoration Response

Electronic documents today may be contained in a variety of storage devices, all using unique software and media codes, requiring a high level of technical capabilities to properly restore data. Océ Business Services forensics technicians provide you with preliminary data analysis to help you immediately assess and understand the nature of the restored data.

Data filtering and culling techniques are performed to narrow the data set to only the most relevant and richest discovery targets using filters such as file type, identity of the custodian, document creation date, data source location, and other relevant information. Using unique, algorithm produced identifiers, and Océ Business Services' proprietary technologies, we help you to eliminate unnecessary documents and save you processing expense.

Large Scale Harvesting and Preservation Project:
Océ Business Services' expertise was pivotal in a recent court ordered data preservation request. The request included all documents -- paper-based, electronic and deleted documents (recoverable using forensic techniques). Océ Business Services worked with the client's outside counsel to develop a strategy to rebut claims of spoliation. This involved a plan to collect all server and laptop data, including bit-by-bit copies of individual hard drives and a "snapshot" at that exact moment in time of a very complex network environment. Sanctions imposed in similar cases have included allowing juries to make assumptions about the contents of speculatively relevant documents that were destroyed. Such "spoliation inferences" may be imposed even where the putative destruction is unintentional and without fraudulent intent. Océ Business Services' responsiveness and assistance in this matter will assist the client to demonstrate good faith and mitigate potential damages.
